‘Secret’ auction! SCEC gear for sale

After closing the Sydney Convention Exhibition Centre for at least three years to allow developers to build a ‘better’ one, the perfectly modern and functionable Darling Harbour centre will now be demolished. Surprisingly the extensive audio visual equipment auction appears to be a secret.

Auctioneer firm Omaras have the equipment listed for online sale, some closing TODAY. CX were amazed to stumble on the sale, which must be the worst promoted auction in history. This is made worse because the equipment is owned by the tax payers of NSW, who are also now left without several schools and at least a fair part of a hospital from the lost revenue that all those conventions will not contribute to the state economy while the new centre is built.

Had CX received a release from Omaras we would have promoted the sale.
