On-Air with Audio-Technica

BP40 is Audio-Technicas’ first large-diaphragm on-air vocal broadcast microphone.  It combines the excellent isolation and off-axis rejection of a hypercardioid dynamic with a rich, clear, natural condenser-like delivery making it ideal for a variety of applications including radio, overdubs, post-production, podcasting and more.

The new microphone features an optimised capsule placement to help maintain a commanding vocal presence even at a distance, while its multistage windscreen provides superior internal pop filtering.  It also includes a switchable 100 Hz high-pass filter to provide extra pop protection.

A patented floating-edge construction large diameter diaphragm maximises surface area and optimises overall diaphragm performance, while a humbucking voice coil prevents electromagnetic interference from video monitors, AC power, etc.

With its rugged all-metal construction the BP40 is well prepared for use in professional broadcast environments and comes standard with the AT8483 mounting clamp.  The optional AT8484 mounting clamp is also available should addition isolation be required.

The BP40/AT8483 package retails in Australia for $499 with the AT8384 costing an additional $139.   Audio-Technica is distributed by Technical Audio Group, 43-53 Bridge Road, STANMORE NSW 2048.  Ph. (02) 9519 0900.  info@tag.com.au  www.audio-technica.com.au
