Central Coast Council requires the services of experienced and motivated Technicians to become part of the team at the Laycock Street Community Theatre and Peninsula Theatre within the Arts & Culture Unit.
Laycock Street Community Theatre is one of Australia’s busiest regional community theatres. The theatre’s award winning professional team of technicians are exceptionally proud of their track record of technical excellence and high standard of customer service, for both professional and amateur clients, across a wide variety of performance styles and formats.
The successful applicants will be employed on a casual day-to-day basis and will be required to be available to work a variable spread of hours, Monday to Sunday (including nights) as required.
Key activities of this role include:
Setup and operation of professional audio, lighting and vision equipment;
Building and setup of sets on stage according to plans;
Operate and maintain single purchase counterweight flying system;
Liaise with artists and clients regarding technical requirements;
Maintenance of stage equipment, audio, lighting and vision equipment.
