One of Australia’s leading distributors and manufacturers of professional audio, lighting and staging equipment, is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the service team.
Specifically, the Service Technician will be responsible for:
•fault finding, repairing, maintaining, modifying and updating equipment;
•replacing defective components, including, but not limited to, surface mount re-works;
•completing documentation in regards to service work as per supplier’s requirements, schedules performed and raise invoices, where necessary;
•liaising with account and non-account customers to assure product performance and provide technical support;
•responding to requests for emergency repairs when required (may be outside normal working hours); and,
•assisting with triage of goods returned for repair/service; keeping track of items repair/service history by serial number, when required.
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
•proven experience servicing professional audio and/or lighting products and equipment (an advantage, but not essential);
•sound working knowledge of electronics, electrical principles, IP and networks;
•ability to read and follow circuits, circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings;
•Certificate IV in Electronics (desirable, but not essential);
•good level of electro mechanical aptitude;
•excellent communication skills (written and verbal), coupled with intermediate PC ability;
•a General Construction Induction White Card (desirable);
•excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment; and,
•a current and valid NSW Drivers License – Class C minimum (desirable).
As a Service Technician you may be required to travel intra/interstate for work and training and be “on call” after normal working hours and on weekends. The Service Technician will receive applicable compensation (overtime) for hours worked outside normal hours.
