Building Services Coordinator
Established in 1999, City Recital Hall, located in Angel Place in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, is a world class performance space specifically designed for superb acoustics.
In addition to the company’s own entrepreneurial program of performances, the Hall hosts and presents a range of concerts, conferences/presentations, ceremonies and functions by not-for-profit arts and community organisations, commercial concert promoters, educational institutions and corporate companies.
This is a full time position for a 3 year fixed term contract.
The Building Services Coordinator is an integral position within the Facilities team and performs a key role in maintaining the health of this iconic building.
The position works closely with, and reports to, the Building Services Manager. Together with a number of casual stage door and maintenance staff, the Facilities team are responsible for keeping City Recital Hall looking great, our stage door manned, and the building fully maintained. The role also includes facility management administration duties.
This is an important front line position which liaises directly with contractors and service providers who help maintain the building, and the artists and corporate clients utilising the building for concerts and events.
The role requires a proactive hands-on approach, strong customer service ethic, flexibility, and high level communication skills. Evening and weekend work will at times be required.
The successful candidate will possess demonstrated interest and experience in facility operation and building services, possess solid administration skills, and display excellent customer service, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience in and/or knowledge of the performing arts/entertainment industry is highly desirable.
A salary commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
