We have an opportunity for a skilled Audio Visual Systems Engineer to join our event Technology Infrastructure and Equipment team. As our Audio Visual Systems Engineer your primary responsibility will be ensuring all of our event-based technology equipment and infrastructure is functioning, fit for purpose and delivers to our customers’ expectations.

The role
In this role, you will be empowered to…
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults on wide variety of AV equipment
• Communicate equipment availability using our ‘Out of Service’ procedures
• Triage any off-site and on-site repairs
• Recommend and implement life-cycle equipment replacement programs

You will be working closely with our Technology Services crew to ensure you are across equipment requirements as well as our ICT team and external suppliers when required.

You will be supporting our team with coaching and training on new equipment and providing solution resolution to support the team.
Your role has a focus on continuous improvement in ensuring you are proactively recommending opportunities to improve MCEC’s systems and services when it comes to delivering world-class event technology.

You
To be considered for this role it is essential to have a working background in electronics, specifically in the repair and maintenance of audio visual equipment and you hold a current construction card and EWP license.

Extensive experience in the AV industry with a focus on systems integration, managing and programming AV automation and DSP equipment and CTS qualification or equivalent. An Electrical Test and Tag Certificate would be advantageous. Experience in audio and video show production/operation would also be looked upon favourably.
