Counting Down a Huge Summer of Training! At Number 2 – Meyer’s Bob McCarthy Seminars

At number two on our countdown of training courses early this year is Meyer Sound Australia’s amazing System Training. Meyer is bringing out the USA’s Bob McCarthy, recognised as one of the best sound system design and alignment specialists in the world, for a series of  seminars in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in May 2014.

Bob’s running a course called ‘Fundamentals of System Design, Implementation, and Optimization’, which runs over two full days.

This seminar encompasses a variety of topics in sound system applications. Practical information on system design and application is presented in a real-world context to provide useful background. Theory and practice of line arrays are discussed, along with the tools for system optimization, including equalization, delay, loudspeaker management systems, measurement with the SIM 3 audio analyser, and use of Meyer Sound’s acoustical prediction program, MAPP Online Pro.

The seminar will also discuss and demonstrate important concepts pertaining to the use of subwoofers and methods of deployment that obtain optimal coverage and directivity characteristics.

Completion of this course qualities attendees for 6 Infocomm Certified Technology (CTS) renewal units (RU).

The dates are as follows:

Melbourne: Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 of May

Sydney: Thursday 8 and Friday 9 of May

Brisbane: Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 of May

Seminar cost: $100, refundable upon completion of two full days.
