Julius Events College is growing, as our reputation spreads. Now in our third year of fulltime Advanced Diploma training, and having trained at Certificate level for two years prior, we have a solid curriculum and valuable set of resources.
Now we call on Trainers, new and experienced, to register your interest for contract work in Sydney and beyond.
Ours is a pastoral kind of college where individuals are recognised and encouraged. This calls for a relaxed yet professional training style, unpinned by substantial industry experience. You must be comfortable in your own skin, able to motivate and lead.
Our trainers need to be industry professionals, highly proficient in one or more of the following:
- Lighting
- Audio
- Vision / Video
- Events Management
- Production Management
- Venue Management
We will do a skills assessment, and you will obtain a valuable qualification to match your experience, if you are contracted to join with us.
In addition to an established career in one or more of the above, you must also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Note that you may have a partial TAA, as long as you have done the TRAINING component and have those Units Of Competency. The Assessment Units may be taught to you, while you are here. This is a pre-requisite to train within the AQTF in Australia.
You need to embrace the formal principles of training that come as part of your learning to obtain the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Where some trainers and some colleges minimise the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, we think of it as a valuable tool to help seasoned industry practitioners adapt to the complexity of delivering training to mixed groups of highly individual humans!
The ability to implant knowledge, follow a plan, and the desire to grow the events and entertainment industry is essential. We prefer trainers who are industry professionals but perhaps training novices – industry knowledge and experience are much more important that smooth training delivery. That comes with training experience.
