At Julius Events College we are serious about professional standards. These are some of our standards, against which we are audited......

Trainers: Our trainers must carry a qualification or skill-set equal or greater than that taught. They must have current industry experience. They also require a Training qualification. Each trainer has passed a working with children (young people) check.

Industry: Each course has been validated by industry professionals, as to relevancy and our assessment methods. We consult with industry formally at least yearly, informally usually on a very frequent basis.

Professional Development: Trainers are required to update industry experience and technical knowledge continually. Training qualifications are also reviewed when each version or revision of the Training Package is issued.

Safety: The college operates a fully compliant OH&S system, with a policy statement on display. Work method statements for college procedures are on display in our theatre training space. We put safety first.

Risk Management: We conduct a monthly review from a matrix of all known or possible risks. This information is available and shared with working colleagues and students.

Continual Improvement: We have C.I. forms on our front desk in Sydney, and on request interstate. Every suggestion or report is reviewed, with actions kept on file. All courses are reviewed for student feedback on training and trainers.

Curriculum: All our courseware is developed by us, and mapped to the nationally accredited Entertainment Industry Training Package. We review all courseware each time we deliver each course.

Equipment: We have up to date software and computers. Professional audio, lighting, video and staging equipment is sponsored into our college by a variety of companies, most significantly of whom is Lots of Watts Pty Ltd.

Conduct: Teaching associates and students all abide by a code of conduct, on display in Sydney and against which everyone signs. It covers appropriate contact between college staff and students, student to college, and student to student conduct.

Counselling: We have a variety of channels available to assist any student with issues that may impact on their training. Counselling is confidential.

Privacy: We have a privacy policy on the home page of our website. No student information is shared with anyone outside the college unless consent of the student is supplied.

Financial: The college is audited externally each year by Watkins Coffey Martin and Co. Financials are made available to our regulator, VETAB. The college is funded by the proprietor, Julius Grafton. Initial capital came from the sale of the ENTECH trade show.

Operations Manual: All processes and procedures are detailed in an operations manual, which is made available to our regulator, VETAB.

Structure / Governance: The college is a company incorporated in New South Wales. The director, secretary and shareholder is Julius Grafton. Julius has no criminal convictions, and has never been declared bankrupt. He has not changed his name.
